Community Conversation August 20

The Hudson City School District Board of Education invites all faculty, staff, parents, students, and residents to its community conversation to be held on Thursday, August 20 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the John L. Edwards cafeteria.

At this public session, attendees will have the opportunity to offer their input in building Hudson CSD’s Vision 2020. This five-year plan for improvement will establish measurable goals for the academic and socioemotional well-being of students.

The Vision 2020 will build on the district’s three-year Destination Graduation plan, which resulted in an as-yet unofficial 74 percent graduation rate at the end of the 2014-15 school year. This meets the district’s 2012 goal of increasing its graduation rate by 15 percent in three years.

Following the first community conversation, which will be facilitated by Questar III Assistant Superintendent Andy DeFeo, the district will hold more sessions to ensure continuous community involvement. For questions regarding the Vision 2020, please call the Hudson CSD district office at (518) 828-4360 ext. 2101.
