Groundbreaking Ceremony Held for Henry Hudson Discovery Garden!

A groundbreaking ceremony for the Henry Hudson Discovery Garden was held on the evening of May 4. Board members, faculty, staff and several members of the community attended the event.

Ms. Doto and Ms. MacGowan opened the ceremony with a welcome and recognition of all the organizations that helped in the creation of the garden including the Columbia County Health Department, Columbia Land Conservancy, Hawthorne Valley Learning Center, Columbia County Healthcare Consortium, Hudson City School District and BOE, Knitspot.com, Investments in Youth, Lowe’s (with a special thank you to Mr. Johnston!) and Needham Risk Management.

To prepare the garden for its grand opening students in Mr. Heeder and Mrs. Walsh's classes created hand painted rocks to decorate the walkways.
