Program Information
- Hours are 2:45pm – 5:45pm, Monday through Friday
- A FREE bag dinner and drink is provided daily
- A bus is available at 5:15pm daily to drop students off at central locations – not door to door. Students MUST sign up on the registration form to be eligible to take the bus.
- It is a requirement of the grant that students attending programs at JLE and the Intermediate school attend 5 days a week. Therefore, each student who wishes to participate MUST sign up for 2 different classes per day for 5 days a week except on Friday when Open Rec. is available.
- Students attending the program at the Jr. High School have a flexible schedule and daily attendance is not required.
The HBN ASP is divided into 4 sessions as follows:
- September 7 thru November 9, 2011
- November 14 thru Jan. 20, 2012
- January 23 thru March 30, 2012
- April 2 thru June 15, 2012
Classes will be filled on a first come first serve basis. When you receive the registration form in the mail please return it to your student’s homeroom teacher immediately.
This program is licensed through the Columbia County Child Care Council which allows us to serve up to 160 students. Late registrants will be put on waiting list.

Students Served:
JLE ASP: K – 2 ~ licensed for 130 and serve 110 daily
Intermediate: Grades 3 - 6 ~ licensed for 240 and serve 200 daily
Jr. High: Grades 7 - 8 ~ serve 30 daily
High School: Grades 9 - 12 ~ provides courses for students to earn credit toward graduation and summer school
Staff & School
Full time staff includes (1) Program Director, (2) Site Coordinators, (1) Program Assistant
Part time staff includes : (9) Teachers, (20) club instructors, (14) adults, (11) college students, (15) high school students and (11) Counselors in Training (CIT) who were former participants in the HMS ASP, for a total of 84 employees.
Funding
Funding for the HBN ASP comes from various resources including those who generously volunteer their time.
21st Century and MHACGC Advantage Grants provide the majority of funding.

Policies and Regulations
The HBN ASP is registered through the Columbia County Child Care Council and required to follow strict regulations regarding staff/student ratio, staff fingerprinting and clearance, staff training, appropriate materials and supplies and documentation materials. We are periodically evaluated to ensure policies are followed.
