The Hudson Bluehawk Nation Afterschool Program (HBN ASP) is continuously looking for high energy, dedicated, friendly and caring people to join our staff. No teaching certification is required!

Pay Rate

$11-13.75/hour

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with students in the afterschool program
  • Ensure safety and well-being of all children in program
  • Lead and supervise inside recreation and playground activities
  • Plan & organize projects
  • Other tasks such as attendance, delivery of snacks, riding bus, set up & clean up
  • Be a positive role model for children
  • Work together as a team player

Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Personal commitment to quality child care

Requirements

  • No certification necessary
  • At least three (3) days per week throughout the year
  • Hours are approximately 2-6 p.m.
  • Fingerprinting and background check are required (fees covered by HBN ASP)

Additional Information

  • These are part-time positions that last for eight (8) weeks. Staff are not required to commit to more than one eight-week afterschool session, however additional sessions will be available to successful direct service staff. 
  • Direct service staff will work at one of the following HBN ASP sites: Montgomery C. Smith School and/or Hudson Junior High School. Site assignment is dependent upon need and fit.

Policies and Regulations

The HBN ASP is registered through the Columbia County Child Care Council and required to follow strict regulations regarding staff/student ratio, staff fingerprinting and clearance, staff training, appropriate materials and supplies and documentation materials. We are periodically evaluated to ensure policies are followed.
