Hudson Bluehawk Nation Afterschool Program (HBN ASP)

Funding

Funding for the HBN ASP comes from various resources, including those who generously volunteer their time.

The majority of our funding is provided by grants such as 21st Century Community Learning Centers (CCLC) program, My Brother's Keeper, Mental Health Association of Columbia-Greene Counties Advantage Grants and Extended School Day/School Violence Prevention Grant (ESD/SVP).

Local Foundation Grants: The following have made monetary donations for our program:  Richard & Terez Abatecola Foundation, Bank of Greene County, Berkshire/Taconic Foundation, Children’s Foundation of Columbia County, Columbia County Youth Bureau, Columbia-Greene Federal Credit Union, Galvan Foundation, Alexander & Marjorie Hover Foundation, Hudson River Bank & Trust Foundation, Investments In Youth, Rheinstrom Hill Community Foundation, Stewarts Shops and Taconic, Inc.

Hawthorne Valley Farm ~ visits to farm twice a week/Cooking Classes

Katchkie Farm/Sylvia Center ~ farm to table nutrition program
NYS Firemen’s Home ~ Intergenerational Club ~ 2 visits weekly
NYS Firemen’s Home Museum ~ local history projects
Perfect Ten ~ STEM Programming ~ internships
REACH Center ~ Girls Circle
Sloop Club ~ students building a sloop to be launched in the Hudson River
Whittier Adult Home ~ gardening and crafts with senior citizens
YES (Youth Employment Services) ~ job readiness skills and internships
